New destinations and fresh companies

MITT’s reputation as the go-to event for the Russian travel market has drawn many new companies to the show this year. With confidence in the Russian market high, the event will provide a vibrant showcase of diverse travel destinations and a hotspot for business development within the travel industry.

Just a few of the exhibitors stepping out onto the show floor for the first time include Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, the Altai Republic, and Novosibirsk Oblast.

This year, a series of new countries and regions will join the exhibition with group stands: Dubai, Brazil, Karnataka, Sri Lanka, Sarajevo, Goa, South Africa, Slovakia, and San Marino.

Following a hugely successful 2017 for Dubai – welcoming 288,000 Russian tourists, a year-on-year rise of 96% – the Emirate is not only joining MITT for the first time but will also appear as Partner Destination.

Turkey’s momentous return to the Russian market in 2017 has led the country to present its largest showcase at MITT ever, bringing a vast array of new companies such as Kımeros Park Holiday Village, Silence Beach Resort, and Ela Quality Resort.

MITT Tourbusiness 365

As the travel industry enters a new era driven by increased demands from tourists (year-round availability, new experiences, and increased customer service), the show’s programme of events – titled MITT Tourbusiness 365 – has been reinvigorated to provide invaluable content for professionals in this competitive market.
The line-up will include 10 major sessions, feature over 80 renowned speakers – opinion leaders and experts in their fields – and cover around 60 pressing industry issues. Brand new events for this year include:

- Travel Trends – an overview of market trends and their impact on doing business
- Market Shocks – a major panel discussion on market disruptions and their consequences
- Family Business in Travel – an interactive session on family businesses in the travel sector
