Russian tourism flows to Cuba double in 2017
52,000 Russian tourists travelled to Cuba from January to June 2017, which is 2.2 times greater than the same period in 2016. The figures bode well for an overall annual increase – 65,300 Russians visited Cuba in 2016.

Representatives of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism link the growth of Russian tourism flows to the stabilisation of the rouble and increased flight routes.

The country increased its total number of tourists over the first half of 2017 by 24% to reach three million people. Most of the island’s tourists come from Canada, Spain, France, Italy, and Germany.
