Malta-Russia relations on tourism reach new level

On Tuesday 15 November, the Prime Ministers of Malta and Russia, Joseph Muscat and Dmitry Medvedev, held talks in Moscow on bilateral issues and relations between the two countries. The talks led to a series of agreements being signed, including on tourism.

New routes to Russia

Russian low cost airline Pobeda continues to expand its international network by launching flights from Moscow to Tivat, Montenegro, and Girona, Spain. For the winter season the airline has permission to fly from Moscow to Innsbruck attracting mainly independent travellers. Pobeda has recently announced its interest in launching flights to Alanya, another popular resort in Turkey. Pobeda is helping the Russia traveller become less dependent on charter flights by providing, cheap international flights, along lines of Easyjet, Russian style.
