MITT 2019: new destinations, 1,800 travel companies, and an enriched 3-day content programme

This high-profile tourism industry exhibition has been the key event for Russia’s travel market for over 25 years. It's the place to discover new programmes and identify the trends and destinations for the year to come.

The list of exhibitors at MITT 2019 includes over 1,800 companies from 54 countries, held over six pavilions covering 40,000 sqm.

National stands at MITT

MITT will feature a whole range of national stands with Italy, Greece, and Israel taking large stands.

This year will see a range of new countries and tourist destinations including Qatar, Lebanon, the Seychelles, Nicaragua, Cambodia, Tanzania, Mongolia, and Indonesia. Ecuador will return to present the Galapagos Islands, while India will be represented by states Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Japan’s Tottori Prefecture known for its sand dunes and spectacular scenery will have a separate stand for the first time.

Partner State Bahrain will present its hotels, host agencies, and beach recreation and state-of-the-art infrastructure for sports tourism including the world’s largest indoor vertical wind tunnel and the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir that hosts Formula One Grand Prix.

Turkey will increase its exhibiting companies from Belek and Kemer. The TURSAB Association of Turkish Travel Agencies and Turkish tour operator Odeon Tours will join the national stand this year.

Tour Operators at MITT

Despite difficulties with Russian tour operators on the market, major tour operators will make large presentations of their programmes at the exhibition. This year, Biblio-Globus, Mouzenidis Travel, TUI, Art Tour, Unicorn, Alean, and Dolphin will offer their tourist products.

Visitors will get the opportunity to review the entire range of travel services thanks to the presence of cross-sectional companies at the exhibition.

Russian Regions at MITT

Targeting inbound and domestic travel, MITT 2019 will see 52 Russian regions presenting their tourist products, including Kalmykia, Astrakhan, Mordovia, the Kursk Region, the Tyumen Region, and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region which will make its debut.

For the sixth year in a row, the Altai Territory will serve as Partner Region. On 12 March, traditionally the Day of the Altai Territory, the region will present its main types of tourism.

The Best Russian Region Video competition aims to raise interest in domestic and event tourism, cultural traditions, and ethnic diversity of Russia. Vote now for your three favourite videos. The winners will be announced at 11am on 13 March in Pavilion 2, Hall 1 at the Big Arena.
