Nepal Tourism Board in co-ordination with Embassy of Nepal in Moscow organized the participation of Nepalese travel trade in 15th Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition ( MITT) from 19-22 March 2008 in Moscow, Russia.
The Nepalese travel trade participating companies during the exhibition also was a useful platform for interacting with the Russian travel business community and were able to get business deals, according to the NTB.
The Nepalese private sector travel trade companies participating in the event were: South Asian Holidays, Eco-Trek International & Nepal Kamaz Tours & Travels. The Nepal stand which showcased Nepal’s iconic tourism products was able to draw the attention of the numerous trade, media and public visitors. Around 40000 visitors visited Nepal stand during the exhibition.
Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT) is the biggest and most influential travel trade show held in Russia every year, providing an appropriate opportunity for obtaining market potential information, hearing opinions of business community and interacts with the influential Russian travel trade figures for business tie ups.
Moscow having the concentration of wealth and a population of 11 million people is a huge potential quality tourist market for Nepalese tourism industry. The Russian travellers are regarded as the world’s high spenders during their travel.
